Dental implants can make a huge impact in our lives and are the next best thing to healthy, natural teeth. This treatment can improve your appearance, comfort, oral health, and even speech. They are designed to be, and feel, like a natural tooth and they are long-lasting as the artificial root is made from titanium. This advancement in dental technology offers great options for fixed or removable replacements for missing teeth.
Implants are made up of two elements; a titanium root which bonds after a few months with your jaw bone; and the attachment, which can be a single-tooth crown, a denture or even a whole arch of teeth. The process is painless and carried out under local anaesthetic (area made numb). The implant will be fitted by our resident implantologist Amir Savage and your own dentist will fit the attachment.

Free Initial Consultation
The first step towards your dental implants is a free initial consultation lasting around 30 minutes.
We’ll talk to you about your options so you know exactly what’s involved and the advantages and disadvantages of the choices available. We may also take some x-rays.
Dental implants aren’t suitable for everyone and in some cases we may need to undertake a thorough assessment to decide if it is right for you. If dental implants are appropriate, and you are happy to go ahead, then we may need to see you several times to plan your treatment.
We will make sure, at every stage of the process, that you have the information you need to make informed decisions – and how much it will cost.
Am I suitable for Dental Implants?
Dental implants can be used for a wide range of treatment from single implants to replace one missing tooth, two implants to secure a bridge, through to multiple implants to replace all the teeth in the mouth with an implant supported denture or fixed implant bridge.
In a healthy person with a healthy mouth and bone, implant roots (the metal part) should last as long as your natural teeth. They need caring for as natural teeth do. The crowns or bridges supported by the implants can last a decade or more.
Usually, if you are over 18 and in reasonably good health, you will be suitable for dental implant treatment at Hook Dental. Smoking reduces the success rate for dental implants but doesn’t preclude treatment.
Dental implants are not cheap but the cost reflects the exacting techniques required and the vast improvement they make to your appearance and quality of life.
At Hook Dental we always ensure that you have a clear idea of the cost associated with any treatment and, although every case is different, we can give you a guide to the cost of your implants.
A straightforward single implant crown is likely to cost around £2,800 while a removable lower denture with two implants would be in the region of £9,000 and a full upper or lower set of fixed implant crowns may cost around £25,000.
Each case is different and we will discuss the costs with you during your consultation so that you can make an informed choice.
